A little about where my passion for architecture has led me so far...
Even before graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Architecture in 2002, I had tried my hand at designing. I worked for a small architecture firm in Florida while visiting my Uncle in 1995 and 1996. When I returned home to NY, I found a job to continue to craft my CAD and design skills. After completing my Masters Degree in Architecture in 2005, I also worked to become a LEEDŽ Accredited Professional. I then gained indespensable work experience at architecture firms in Colorado and am now very close to completing my Colorado Architecture License with NCARB.
As the most recent chair of the OZ Architecture sustainable design committee, I assisted in the LEEDŽ documentation and coordination for the new OZ 29th street office, which has just submitted for design review. Additionally, I created and administered an in-house training curriculum to assist fellow employees in their efforts in passing the LEEDŽ AP exam. I work to broaden the reach of sustainable practices by offering LEEDŽ training services upon request to several engineering groups and clients. I was also asked by Built Green(TM) Colorado, and the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, to help create a new checklist & Reference manual for their Built Green(TM) Multi-Family projects. In addition, I participated in the sustainable design charrette for the new master plan of Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design and was offered a position to teach a course on sustainability next semester.
A past member of Historic Boulder, I feel strongly that we should value the cultural legacy offered by our built environment, as well as move forward in a sustainably conscious manner. With experience in residential, commercial, resort, and technical design, I feel I would be a strong and dedicated addition to any team.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience and credentials. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
